Shane is a qualified strength and conditioning coach and personal trainer through Setanta college. Shane has 7 years experience in the fitness industry working in different gyms and with a variety of different sports team before he and Aidan set up East Clare Fitness.
We are passionate about helping people reach their health and fitness goals. We try to use our knowledge and expertise in coaching and nutrition to offer the very best service we can to our clients on a daily basis. We pride ourselves on creating a really fun and friendly atmosphere in the gym that makes everyone who comes in to train with us feel comfortable and that they can enjoy themselves while also pushing themselves to achieve great results

Aidan is a qualified personal trainer through University College Limerick. Aidan has 9 years experience in the fitness industry working in different gyms including 'Head Trainer' roles and with a variety of different sports team before he and Shane set up East Clare Fitness.

PERSONAL TRAINER
Cian is a recently qualified personal trainer through Setanta College. Cian joined the East Clare Fitness team at the start of 2020 and has been a great addition.
Cian runs our 'Mens Transformation' sessions in Scariff and also does some of our Small Group Personal Training sessions in both Scariff and Kilkishen.

At East Clare Fitness we specialise in Small Group Personal Training. This is personal training in a group setting of a maximum of 8 people. People of varying fitness levels can train in the same group as everyone is working off their own individual programmes based on their goals.
We cater for people of all fitness levels, from total beginners to experienced gym users. Everyone is working off their own individual plan created by the trainer.
All sessions are supervised at all times by a qualified personal trainer.
The trainer sets up and guides clients through all exercises to ensure proper technique is followed to ensure the best possible results.
When a person signs up for our Small Group Personal Training they will start with a first day consultation. This includes talking through nutrition and goals so a tailored nutrition plan can be designed. We also conduct a weigh in, body fat analysis and body measurements. These are conducted every 4 weeks for accountability and to track progress. The trainer then designs a workout programme based on the persons fitness levels and goals.

2020 has been a difficult year for all gyms and personal trainers because of Covid-19 resulting in premises having to shut down, but for us one of the biggest positives of 2020 was us expanding into Online Coaching.
We have worked with a wide variety of clients online, males and females with very different fitness levels and goals.
We develop individualised workout programmes for people based on a variety of factors including experience level, fitness level, equipment available, goals, etc. These plans can be gym based, home workouts, running plans or a combination of all these based on the clients needs.
Nutrition is a major part in a client reaching their targets whether it be weight loss, muscle gain, etc. We provide our clients with calorie and protein targets which is calculated using their weight, height, bodyfat, activity levels, etc. We then provide the client with their own nutrition plan based on these calories and protein targets, using foods that they like/ normally eat and not inputting foods they do not like.
we then conduct weekly check ins with clients to ensure they are sticking to their plans and on track towards reaching their goals. Clients can contact us at any time if they are struggling with any aspect of the plan or if they need any additional help.
We get great satisfaction in helping people achieve whatever health and fitness goals they might have and there is nothing better for us than seeing a client achieve goals they have worked hard to achieve.
